Do You Dare to Enter the Dungeon?

The fourth instalment of Dungeon Hunter is here and just waiting to be enjoyed. While the original Dungeon Hunter game had received a lot of praise, many people claimed that the following instalments were too complicated. Find out if Dungeon Hunter 4 is a triumph or a flop in the full review.

Fans of Dungeon Hunter will be pleased to discover that this game is much closer to the original than ever before. All of the most popular elements have been included and there are plenty of gruesome monsters to slay, and threats waiting around every corner. The creators have used the latest technological advances to create a very detailed and well designed world that features great graphics and lots of depth.

The game starts with a bit of a back story for gamers who are new to the dungeon world or need a refresher. Gamers are also re-introduced to the controls and provided with a tutorial. All this is taken care of pretty quickly and smoothly and it is not long before you get to the main action of the game itself.

Gamers play the role of Valen, who comes from a race that has been nearly destroyed and banished to the dungeon world. The main aim of the game is to survive and work out how to restore your kingdom to the glory that it once enjoyed. Gamers can choose to play the game as one of four different classes, each of which has special skills and a different difficulty level; which adds plenty of variation to Dungeon Hunter 4.

Interactions with various characters are voice acted to make the game more engaging. Ultimately, as this game is all about action, the interactions are kept as short as possible and simply serve to provide a bit more detail to this imaginatively created world.

The battles that take place during the game are fast and fluid and come complete with plenty of blood and gore. Players are given a mixture of basic attacks that they can use to defeat monsters, while special abilities and magic spells are also thrown into the mix to help you on your way.

Every time you level up your stats will increase and you will be given a point to spend on the area of ability that you want to develop. The decisions that players make will reflect how successful they are in battles and there are lots of great options to choose from. Players will also receive gold and gear that they can use to make themselves stronger, and purchase spells and other useful elements to make them stronger.

Unfortunately, getting to the next level can be slow unless you are willing to use your own money to advance. Many of the elements that you need such as gear and weapons require a large amount of points and these can take a while to collect. It often feels like gamers are being pushed to spend their money on what is advertised as a free game.

Gamers who have the patience to get through the slower moments are sure to have a lot of fun playing Dungeon Hunter 4. There is lots of great action moments to enjoy, while the dungeon world is very detailed and exciting. Overall, this game is well worth checking out.
